ABOUT ME
I've been a writer since I was old enough to put words to paper but wasn't published until June of 2019, being too afraid to make any attempts. In learning to be a good writer, I've had to learn to be a great editor. And I did that by using a professional editor to teach me what I needed to work on, where my weaknesses were, and how to turn what I had written into a publishable product. Once I learned this information and put my English skills to work, I found myself very capable of editing for friends. I wanted to go into business doing something I loved that was related to writing, so my editing career was created.
Storytelling is an art. Whether verbal or written word, it gives others an opportunity to journey to places unseen. I want to help you share your words by assisting, through editing, to bring your works into a publishable masterpiece. You've done the hard work. Now let me help you produce the product you want.

I edit English only, but welcome writers who use English as a second language.
I provide editing for stories, poems, and non-fiction writing, price based using the industry standard of 250 words per page found in the Pricing section. Editing will consist of micro editing, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, flow and structure, readability, and clarity of thought. I will also watch for any specifics you request.

Proofreading is provided for stories, poems, and non-fiction writing, price based using the industry standard of 250 words per page found in the Pricing section. Keep in mind, while less expensive, proofreading only includes minor spelling corrections, punctuation mistakes, grammar, and capitalization. It is a surface-level check of your work only.

Please note: The pricing is negotiable, particularly for new and unknown/lesser known authors. Simply contact me to negotiate. However, I DO NOT work for free under any circumstance.

PRICING
EDITING: 2 cents per word or $5.00 per page using the industry standard of 250 words per page

PROOFREADING: 1 cent per word or $2.50 per page using the industry standard of 250 words per page

Shunn format set up is an additional $5.00

In some cases, especially for unknown authors, pricing may be negotiable.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
It's simple and easy.

The expectation is you send me the best product possible. Work that is poorly done will be charged at a higher rate.
I require the word count to be provided with every submission and prefer Times New Roman/12 font. Most publishers use this and often request you submit in Shunn format. At the time of submission, I will review and let you know the exact price and expected completion date.
